You get a bad reputation. You drift away from true teachings. You settle on untrue teachings. These are the five drawbacks of bad conduct.

pāpako kittisaddo abbhuggacchati; saddhammā vuṭṭhāti; asaddhamme patiṭṭhāti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca ādīnavā duccarite.
